The History
of Feeling Hotel Luise is inextricably linked to the Bertolini family and its love for restaurants, oddly starting from ice cream.
In 1959, together with his wife Eugenia, an excellent cook, he bought a plot of land in Riva del Garda on which Hotel Luise was built: a 30-room restaurant-hotel which has become a point of reference for the gourmets of Lake Garda and the Trentino region.
Year after year, new rooms were added to the small three-star hotel, plus the garden, the swimming pool, the tennis court and a parlour for making homemade ice-cream. This development became increasingly important, to the point it became, under the leadership of the son Alberto, a notable business, which has maintained over time the historic quality and taste of the ice-cream produced with natural ingredients.
Since 1990, Stella, Alberto's wife, has been running the hotel, strongly committing to implementing a process of on-going development of the hotel's facilities, raising the levels of comfort and the hospitality offered to the guests.
This process has necessitated significant investments: massive renovation works on the whole structure in 1997 resulted in the hotel being able to stay open all year round. In 2001 the hotel was reclassified as a 4-star.
